Can Coffee advantage Women's Health?

One coarse fact in life is that with age, you often come to be more aware of protecting your health and preventing the improvement of diseases. If you are a postmenopausal woman with these concerns, you will be happy to know the latest study that drinking 1 to 3 cups of coffee each day will safe your heart.

This 15 year study was recently published in the American Journal of Clinical nutrition to show that there were fewer deaths as a consequent of non-cancerous inflammatory diseases and heart disease among women who were postmenopausal. This group of women consumed 1 to 3 cups of coffee each day. This showed that coffee was responsible for these health benefits, especially since it is the second most consumed beverage worldwide. Coffee is the main source of antioxidants for many Americans within their daily diet, which will help to cut heart disease and inflammation, as confirmed by Lene Frost Andersen, PhD, who works in the nutrition agency at the University of Oslo in Norway.

Coffee

The results of the study were drawn from 27,312 postmenopausal women participating in this study done by Iowa Women's Health. The study commenced in 1986, and all of the participants were 55 to 69 years old. They had not yet been diagnosed with any conditions like diabetes, cancer, or heart disease, excluding skin cancer. All of the women completed a 127 query observe about their quarterly habits, including coffee consumption, alcohol use, and smoking. None of the women changed their coffee drinking habits for the purpose of the study. The groups of women in the study were tracked for 15 years, and in that time, 1733 passed away from cancer, 1411 passed away from heart disease, and the remaining 1211 died from other causes. The women who consumed 1 to 3 cups of coffee each day had less of a risk of dying from heart disease or inflammatory diseases, not including cancer, as opposed to the other women studied.

The women consumed 1 to 3 cups of coffee each day and were less likely to die from heart disease by 24% compared to the women who didn't drink coffee. The women who drank 1 to 3 cups of coffee each day had a 28% less risk of passing away from non-cancerous inflammation, compared to those who abstained from coffee altogether. Death from cancer was not linked to coffee drinking.

These results were not seen for the consumption of other beverages, like tea, sugary drinks, fruit juice, diet soda, and milk. The study did not close that drinking coffee was wholly responsible for a lowered risk of heart disease, but the results were consistent to confirm that drinking 1 to 3 cups of coffee each day provides security against inflammatory disease and cardiovascular issues in women who are postmenopausal.

Coffee - health Risks Drinking Too Much

Coffee is America's most beloved beverage, with the average adult spellbinding about 1.65 cups of coffee a day. But, what is all this coffee and caffeine doing to our bodies? Are there health risks associated with high coffee consumption? For the answers to these questions and more data on the health effects of coffee, keep reading.

Possible Cardiovascular Issues

Coffee

While no concrete studies have shown that excess coffee drinking can lead to high blood pressure or increased risk of cardiovascular disease, researchers do know that caffeine is a stimulant that can increase your heart rate.

Also, cafestol, a substance that is supreme in unfiltered coffee can dramatically increase sick person cholesterol levels, particularly with women. Fortunately, cafestol is not present in important amounts in filtered coffee.

Because of these potential cardiovascular issues, health professionals suggest not exceeding 4 cups of coffee a day.

Increased Anxiety

Coffee is a stimulant. It can cause jitters and anxiety if too much caffeine is consumed. Routinely spellbinding a high volume of coffee or even coffee resignation can each cause irritability.

Sleep Problems

Again, coffee is a stimulant, meaning it keeps you awake and alert. Subsequently, citizen suffering from insomnia or sleep issues are recommended to stay away from caffeine and other potent stimulants.

High Acidic Content

Coffee has a high acidic article which can cause stomach pains and discomfort in the digestive system. To forestall this, try to avoid drinking coffee on an empty stomach or in excess. Pouring in a minuscule cream with your coffee can help coat the stomach and sell out the corollary of the brew's acid.

Diuretic

Coffee is a diuretic, meaning it can strip your body of water and vital moisture. This can cause sallow skin, constipation and dehydration. Ideally, every cup of coffee should be followed by two glasses of water.

Loose Bowel Movements

Does Coffee Have health Benefits?

If you've ever seen "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", you'll know that the father character swore that Windex is the solution for every ailment. Similarly, coffee, some would swear, is the elixir of life. So much so, that the sweet aroma of coffee tickles many out of sleep in the morning. Forget an alarm clock, the bed side coffee machine is the way to get me out of bed.

Coffee is such an intrinsic part of our way of life that not a day goes by without us paying homage to the local cafe, or at worst, the office coffee maker. But this infatuation (err, addiction) to coffee isn't all that bad. Besides the occasional coffee stained teeth, the health benefits of coffee further validate coffee addicts' love of the stuff. No doubt, coffee is near and dear to millions of people nearby the world, but it's time to put emotions aside and discuss the empirical facts about coffee and its effects on the body; if for no other conjecture than to give coffee lovers more conjecture to drink it.

Coffee

Scientifically, the compounds found in coffee have the following effects:

Acts as a Stimulant: The caffeine content in coffee makes it a familiar stimulant. Not only does it interact with the nervous system, but it regulates intestinal functions, blood pressure, and airway size. In aggregate, this leads to the feeling of alertness after tantalizing coffee, but could also impair sleep, and cause anxiety and jitters.

Potentially Cause Heartburn: A common complaint of non-coffee drinkers is that they occasionally contact heartburn. There is truth to this as all types of coffee, even decaf sometimes lead to the output of stomach acid.

Diuretic Features: Caffeine causes kidneys to furnish urine to help flush out excess fluid from the body. In some instances, it is so productive as a diuretic, it may even cause exiguous dehydration.

Improving Brain Function: recent studies have shown that heavy coffee drinkers, those that consume 5-6 cups per day have a lower occasion of acquiring Alzheimer's disease than those who drink 2-3 cups.

Alternatively, some health professionals allege that quarterly caffeine use causes significant health problems including stomach problems, gall bladder disease, and even some forms of cancer. The investigate however, isn't conclusive sufficient to say that caffeine is dangerous for cardiac patients or pregnant women. All in all, more investigate needs to be done into the negative effects of coffee. One study about the connection of coffee and pancreatic cancer was discredited as a flawed study. So clearly, there is still much investigate to be done.

Besides its stimulating effects, coffee is known for having the following therapeutic characteristics:

Stimulating Breath: people who have recently gone straight through surgery are sometimes treated with caffeine to help stimulate breathing. This technique is sometimes even used for premature babies. Furthermore, researchers have shown that caffeine dilates airways, modestly helping asthma patients. For this reason, caffeine intake should be avoided prior to breathing tests so as not to temporarily mask breathing abnormalities a inpatient may have.

Treating Headaches: A common ingredient in over the counter pain relief medication is acetaminophen, aspirin, and even caffeine. This may be because some headaches are associated to caffeine withdrawal.

Preventing Disease: Researchers halt that moderate coffee intake may sell out the risk of diabetes, prostate cancer, Alzheimer's disease, kidney stones, and even depression. Needless to say, maintaining a wholesome lifestyle including corporeal action and eating lots of fruits and vegetables are key factors as well.

To summarize, while coffee does have minor health risks, the heavy benefits can't be ignored.
