Tunis is the capital of Tunisia and the political, commercial and cultural centre of the country, the Paris of North Africa and a metropolis with a long history. The centre of the city is the medina, the Arabic old town. Surrounded by the market streets of the souks towers the large mosque of Ez-Zitouna, 'Mosque of the Olive'. Apart from the Mosque of Sidi Oqba of Kairouan, this noble building is the most important religious sanctuary in Tunisia. The central market quarter dates back to the Hafsid Dynasty and Early Christian period and the leisurely ambience of the Moorish coffee houses still exists today. The tall, octagonal minaret of the Sidi Youssef Ben Ali Mosque is the earliest Syric building style in Tunisia. Next to the mosque are the securely guarded government buildings that incorporate the architectural styles of the old town. In the labyrinth of souks, there is a tiny square with red-green pillars, the former slave market in which human captives were sold for profit. The 18th century mausoleum of Tourbet El Bey contains the tombs of the Husseinites Dynasty. Its stucco walls and marble pillars highlight the influence of Italian Renaissance. Even today, the medina of Tunis enchants all those who experience it and it is one of the oldest and most constantly populated areas of the Mediterranean that is as evocative as an oriental fairytale.

Romantic Rendezvous at a Coffee House

Most scintillating conversations take place in the coffee house. This is a place where everybody loosens up and tries to just enjoy the aroma and the feel of this phenomenal beverage. It is not at all an embellishment when person says that "A cup of coffee shared with a friend is happiness tasted and time well spent."

Likewise coffee and romance too go hand in hand. Since the coming of coffee and its subsequent popularity, coffee houses have been an integral part of any town or city. They have been the meeting places of both men and women where they used to get and discuss a collection of subjects fluctuating from the more personal romantic ones to the more company related. Coffee houses gave a much needed space for slow conversation without the hindrance of the exterior world. Many a romances have begun and flourished over a hot cup of coffee. There is a Turkish proverb which says "Coffee should be black as hell, strong as death and as sweet as love. "

This proves to be very true when one visualizes the beverage and the impact it has on the human body and the assorted sentiments it arouses. It can legitimately draw similarity because true love is also intense and all consuming. It legitimately rejuvenates one's body and mind. Or can whatever be more romantic than the freshly brewed coffee being served by your romantic partner first thing in the morning? One legitimately enjoys the sound of the coffee grinder when it is being used by your spouse or partner. It doesn't sound like an intrusion, rather it gives a nice feeling that person cares about you and is going to such great lengths as to preparation a freshly grounded coffee for you. This is the magic of Coffee.

Coffee all the time gives a cozy and warm feeling and therefore this drink has come to be the mainstay of couples round the world and has come to be synonymous with romantic rendezvous. There can be many romantic ideas which comprise coffee. Some of them are given below for citizen who would like to surprise their popular with a romantic gesture. These work for citizen who are supposedly labeled unromantic by their partners:

• morning meal in Bed including warm tasty croissants and a hot cup of coffee
• A cup of hot coffee while it is raining outside
• Rendezvous at a cozy coffee shop while sitting in a corner

Coffee - milling Coffee Beans

It is prominent to use the right grind of coffee for you beloved brewing method. It is generally believed that the shorter the brewing time the finer the grind must be. For example Espresso brews in just 30 seconds or less so requires a very fine grind and plunger -pot coffee (also called French Press Pots) requires a very procedure grind as in this method of brewing the coffee grounds are steeped in water (like tea leaves) for a full 6 to 10 minutes.

Most population have propeller-blade grinders. These are not literally ideal as they produce an uneven grind and if whirred too long they heat the beans releasing aromatic substances that should go into your cup and not into the air.

Coffee

What is required is cool, accurate tearing apart of the beans and this is best achieved in a Burr Mill, which has two notched blades whose position can be set for the desired fineness of grinds. The down side to a Burr Mill is the fact that they are noisy and slow but you can grind as much or limited as you want and get a reliably consistent result. The grist times can be found in the manufacturers instructions along with instructions for cleaning the machine. Cleaning a Burr Mill can be a complex process and it is much easier to have the polisher cleaned expertly at an appliance fix shop.

Owning a Burr Mill is not necessary and you can use one of the pro grinders generally found in supermarkets or convenience stores. The secret with these is to assume that the grind will be one or two settings courser than is promised by the limited pictures on the dial and all the time run a few fresh beans straight through before starting to get rid of stale flavors.

If using a propeller blade grinder, grind the beans slightly courser than you think you'll need and then grind in 10-second bursts. Never whirr the beans for more than 30 seconds, as this will overheat them badly. Propeller blade grinders are rarely large enough to grind more than 4 scoops at a time effectively so bear that in mind when grinding. Whilst the machine is grinding, gently lift it off the counter and shake it.

After each use, unplug the polisher and wipe out the grist accommodation with a damp paper towel or sponge. The plastic top should be washed in hot water.

Here are some approximate times for grist with the propeller blade grinder: 10 seconds for the plunger pot, 13 seconds for the flat bottomed paper filters (which generally fit into American drip brewers) or wedge shaped gold filters and 16 seconds for wedge shaped paper filters. For a plunger pot the grounds should look common ground cornmeal and for a drip brew the grounds should look granulated sugar.

Today, many market that sell coffee beans also offer a means of grist them. So if you do not have a polisher you can still enjoy the aromatic flavors of freshly ground coffee.
